What structured cabling is
Structured cabling is a planned system of cable runs, terminations, patch panels, pathways, and telecommunications spaces that supports the devices and services your business relies on. It replaces ad-hoc point-to-point wiring with an organized layout that is easier to maintain and expand.

Installation and termination
Runs are installed, terminated, dressed, and organized so the finished system is serviceable instead of becoming another layer of cable clutter.

Labeling, documentation, and testing
Consistent labeling and records make future troubleshooting easier, and installed links are tested according to the project scope before the network goes into service.
Testing and cable certification
Testing is an important part of a professional cabling project. Depending on the project scope, testing can include wire-map verification, length, insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk measurements, and other performance checks appropriate to the cabling category and application.
Standard labor includes qualification testing: wiremap, length, and gigabit traffic verification. Full certification with a Fluke DSX or equivalent and PDF reports is a separately quoted add-on: $50/drop for 1–25 drops, $35/drop for 26–49, and $25/drop for 50 or more, with a $250 minimum per testing session. Review the cabling schedules in the current service agreement for scope, labor floors, and mobilization charges.
